The PrintSizeGo guide
Good files make
a thoughtful delivery.
A few checks between your finished design and your buyer’s printer.
A ratio is a shape, not a size.
A 2:3 file fits a 4 × 6 inch frame and an 8 × 12 inch frame. It needs more pixels for the larger print. A 4:5 frame needs a different composition. PrintSizeGo lets you review each shape independently.
ISO A uses 1:√2, approximately 0.7071. It is different from 5:7. Standard A paper dimensions are rounded to millimetres, so tiny fit-to-page differences can remain.
Count pixels before inches.
At 300 pixels per inch, an 8 × 12 inch print needs 2400 × 3600 pixels. Adding a “300 DPI” label to a 600 × 900 pixel file does not create the missing detail.
PrintSizeGo compares your real source pixels with the print target, including your crop. For full-image layouts, we check the scale of the artwork inside the border. We do not enlarge the original to claim more detail. Reduce the print target or upload a larger original if the check fails.
Keep the whole image, or make a deliberate crop.
“Keep full image” preserves every edge and adds borders as needed. “Crop to fill” uses your horizontal and vertical crop positions. Transparent PNG pixels use the background colour you choose. All production files are sRGB JPGs.
Every selected ratio needs a layout confirmation. Changing the composition or output settings clears affected checks, so an earlier approval cannot silently apply to a new crop.
One artwork is one listing.
Etsy allows up to five files per digital listing, each at most 20 MB. PrintSizeGo makes one ZIP per ratio, containing a JPG and printing notes. It checks the actual byte size of each ZIP. The outer artwork bundle is a convenience download: extract it and upload the individual ratio ZIPs.
Common print sizes are examples of the ratio. Only advertise sizes at or below the actual maximum stated in your generated PRINTING.txt. A smaller file cannot cover every common size listed for that shape.

A short-lived upload. A lasting file.
Previews are made in your browser. Production export sends one artwork at a time to the processing server after it checks your subscription. This local build does not save original images or exports on the server. Your tab holds previews and downloads; closing it discards that workspace.
Your account stores your email, password hash, subscription state and saved shop settings. Studio is $8 USD/month and renews monthly. Cancel in your account and keep access until the paid period ends. Downloaded files remain usable after cancellation.
Live sales are not enabled. Refund terms, support details and production privacy terms must be finalized before launch.
